I enjoyed the last two days hugely. The capital fight tonight was unbelievable.
The story, from my perspective, is that last night I warped after one of you and chased him into Indregulle. Only to discover a large gate camp waiting for me.
So my astarte got roasted. Hah.. not the result I'd been looking for, but when you guys decided one was enough, and headed for home.. we decided some payback was in order.
A three carrier hotdrop in Deven scattered your battleships and claimed three of them.
Tonight. Well. Your fleet was back in Indregulle. One jump from our home base. We mobilised our capitals, expecting you to hotdrop us. Some very good advice from our ranks kept our hotdrop from happening until we'd had a look at your forces and we'd had a bit of a reorganise. Then you guys started jumping out at the end of your sieges.. so we dropped two carriers to convince you to come back and play. When you obliged, we jumped. For my part... I fully expected to be primary, I wasn't even locked. Lucky I suppose, hah.. the majority of the capitals that jumped into that battle were destroyed.
It was an excellent battle. Well done.

The one carrier who jumped in during fight #1 was a little premature. We were getting massive lag and there was a bit of confusion on coms as to the composition of your capital forces. All of our caps apart from that one carrier held back and didn't jump. How he got out, I do not know... though he was one of the carriers we lost in the second engagement.
By the way... This whole thing, from local chat over the last few days, to the tone of this thread, has been like a breath of fresh air :) Props to all concerned.

I'd also like to salute our two carrier pilots who jumped in as bait. They knew that if the plan worked they were very probably going to die... but they went in anyway. Good job guys :) (Also the slave setted suicide Kessy cyno pilot... :D Great stuff.)
